New Years are weird. This time is full of optimism about what the next twelve months can bring. Yet I’ve always felt a sense of self flagellation and guilt. So, I’m carving out some time to show gratitude about my personal achievements this past year and I suggest you do the same too. Thank you to everyone who helped make 2022 great!
Mental
Outside of being an incredibly strange(autistic) child I also dealt with many traumas in my early life. My parents got divorced when I was still in preschool. My Mom began to lose her hearing abilities. I was in a terrible car wreck that left my mother in the hospital for over a month. Bullying was frequent from both my step-mom and schoolmates. I have some predisposition for mental illness. As a young adult, I did sex work far too quickly without considering the long term mental/physical/social ramifications of it all. And, for about fifteen minutes, I had a minor form of fame as a pop idol. All of these things can mess you up.
