I'd even go so far as to say that, well, part of being mature is recognizing where maturity is unnecessary. I don't know why I adore pink, girly things, but I know I do and my decor reflects that. I've made the choice to not suppress what makes me happy for societal approval, because I don't want to live that repressed. It's 'childish'...and? So what? I adore it anyways and feel 0 guilt!!
